The HEPA Filter Market
The U.S. market for air filtration products exceeds $1 billion and continues to grow. The expansion of the market is driven by continued concern over Indoor Air Quality, more critical process needs within certain industries, and by legislative initiatives being pursued at all levels of government. In addition, new testing standards within industry groups continue to increase overall awareness of maintaining higher degrees of air cleanliness.
The HEPA / Clean Room market exceeds $100 million annually and is expanding. Control of the manufacturing environment (high purity air, humidity control, etc.) for components, pharmaceuticals, audio / video compact and DVD discs, paper and packaging components, film and printing and foods is mandatory.
The impact of even sub-micron particles on microelectronic and healthcare products is becoming more evident and driving stricter industry wide air filtration specifications for efficiency and pressure drop. Add chemical filtration of Airborne Molecular Contamination (AMC) and the opportunities for growth expand even more.
While the Asian economy has dampened the construction of new clean room facilities over the short term, the HEPA filter market is expected to see double digit annual growth.
Currently, microelectronics facilities represent 70% of all installed users. However, this level of filtration is being required in many new markets such as food processing, film production, surgical instruments, and specialty manufacturing.
Airguard is leading the charge in development of new high efficiency products and in offering replacements for all existing systems and models.
