LOUISVILLE, KY: Airguard has announced a new alternative in self-supported cube and multi-pocket filters. The Airguard filters use high integrity, high loft polyester media that resists moisture, will not sag, and is extremely durable. The filters have low resistance and the media is coated with a non-drying adhesive that retains collected particles without sloughing. The media does not shed and will not support microbial growth. The filters are offered with either a single pocket “cube” design or with multiple pockets. They are assembled with polyester media sealed over an internal wire frame. Five styles are available, all are self-gasketing and self-sealing to prevent leakage and bypass. These new cube and multi-pocket filters have high surface area and exceptional dust holding capacity. They maintain their shape in all air flow conditions and are easy to install - no clips or latches required. -more- The filters fit all types of air handling systems - front or rear loading frame banks or side access units. Airguard Uni-Cube filters have a tapered pocket design with single layer media; 20-25% efficiency, MERV 7. Tri-Ply cube filters have larger fibers upstream for best depth loading and a dense, needled media downstream. They are 30-35% efficient, MERV 8. Both are classified U.L. Class 1. Mulit-pocket filters include VA-420, 2-ply, 20-25%, MERV 7; VA-440, 3-ply, 30-35% efficient, MERV 8; Syn-Pak, 3-ply, 35-40% efficient, MERV 8. All are classified U.L. Class 2.
